Price Guide: US$3K to $15K. Expedition to luxury
When to Travel: All year round. With an average yearly temperature hovering around 27°C, French Polynesia is an ideal tropical destination. Genera ly, the days are pleasant and warm; however, there is a variance in weather throughout the year with a hot, humid season from Nov - Apr and cool, dry season from May - Oct. As the islands in French Polynesia are sprawled, they can have their own microclimate.
When to Book: As it is a year-round destination, you can book at any time, although it's worth noting that holiday periods tend to sell out quickly.
Duration: Most Society Islands itineraries are around a week in length. Adding the Marquesas, Tuamotus or Pitcairn wi l generaly add at least another week on to your voyage.
Pre-/Post- Cruise Options: Trips generaly start and/or end in Papeete, Tahiti. Many travellers will add a night or two on at the start or end of the trip to enjoy the island, and you might need to do this anyway due to flight schedules from Australia and New Zealand
