Cruise to the very top of the world - the North Pole. Apart from Santa, it's a place very few people can say they've visited. With us, you can be one of the rare explorers to venture to the northernmost spot on Earth - the geographic North Pole. Stories about the early explorers' attempts to reach the North Pole 120 years ago are fascinating, but the magic is something that truly needs to be personally experienced to be believed.
What is the Geographic North Pole?
Located at the northernmost point on Earth, the geographic North Pole is at the exact point where the Earth's axis of rotation intersects the Earth's surface. It is located in the Arctic Ocean, at the centre of the Arctic region, and is surrounded by drifting ice and water. It is not located on any continent, but rather on a moving ice pack that shifts with the seasons and the currents of the ocean. The nearest landmass to the North Pole is the northern coast of Greenland, which is about 700 kilometres (435 miles) away.
