A cruise designed to enable you to explore the seven pearls of the Mediterranean - The Aeolian Islands - on a gulet cruise. These relaxed small ship cruises provide an unforgettable itinerary, cruising between the small volcanic islands and exploring the small towns and villages.

The Aeolian Islands are a dramatic series of islands and tiny islets off the north coast of Sicily, all created, and some still being created, by volcanic activity. Sailing from the Sicilian port of Capo D'Orlando, we will visit the islands of Vulcano (where 'volcano' was derived from), Lipari, Salina, Stromboli and Panarea.

There will be plenty of time for swimming and exploring the islands, and in the evenings we will explore the restaurants of the ports and villages where we spend the night. Our on board chef will provide some fine lunches using local ingredients and recipes.

The cuisine is very important and a highly skilled chef is a specialist in the preparation of traditional Sicilian dishes, such as pasta with sardines, fish couscous, busiati (a type of pasta) and many other specialities, served in a comfortable dining room surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

NB This cruise needs a minimum number of 8 passengers to operate - Please do not book flights or make other arrangements until we have guaranteed the departure.

Day 1. Lipari

Embarkation from 18.00 onwards. Information briefing on life on board. Free time for dinner in one of the island's characteristic restaurants. Overnight stay on board. Possibility of disembarking with the tender for a night visit of the island.

Day 2. Lipari to Filicudi

At 09.30 a.m., we cast off for Filicudi with a stop for lunch at the "La Canna" rock from where it will be possible to visit the "Grotta del Boe Marino" by tender. Overnight stay in the roadstead in front of Paesino di Filicudi. (Breakfast and lunch - included)

Day 3 Filicudi to La Salina

09.30 departure from Filicudi to Cala di Pollara in Salina where we will spend the first day at sea. In the afternoon, coastal navigation with a stop at anchor in front of Lingua/S.Marina di Salina to visit old Salina. Overnight stay at anchor in front of the village of Santa Marina di Salina with the possibility of disembarking for a night-time visit of the village. (Breakfast and lunch)

Day 4. Salina to Panarea

Waking up in Salina and departure for Panarea at a time of the beautiful "Cala Junco" where you can stop to enjoy the beautiful sea and visit the ruins of the prehistoric settlement. Navigation to "Lisca Bianca" where you will stop for lunch and where you can swim in the sulphurous gas trails. After lunch navigation to "Basiluzzo" for a visit to one of the most beautiful "Islets" of the archipelago. Overnight stay in Panarea. (Breakfast and lunch)

Day 5. Stromboli

Waking up in Panarea and departure for Stromboli. After passing under the coast at the village of "Giostra" we will proceed to the imposing "Sciara del Fuoco" and from there directly to "Strombolicchio" for a dip and a visit to the lighthouse. After lunch, disembarkation ashore for a visit of the town and return to Panarea for dinner ashore at one of the many excellent restaurants in the town. (Breakfast and lunch)

Day 6. Panarea to Vulcano

After breakfast we will sail to Vulcano, with mooring near the "Scoglio della Quaglia" with a visit to the splendid and evocative "Grotta del Cavallo" and the "Piscina di Venere". In the early afternoon you will sail to the "Sabbie Nere" and the thermal pools. In the late afternoon we recommend an excursion to the crater to enjoy the sunset. (Breakfast and lunch)

Day 7. Panarea to Lipari

Navigation to Lipari and boat ride among the "Faraglioni". In the late morning for lunch, stop at Pomici for a swim in the turquoise waters. In the evening we moor in front of the old port of the town of Lipari better known as "Marina Corta", then disembarking ashore for some shopping (Breakfast and lunch)

Day 8. Disembark in Lipari

Disembarkation at 09.00 am after breakfast. End of our services.
