New for 2026, this three-night upstream river cruise offers an easy city-to-city connection between Saigon and Phnom Penh, giving you a relaxing, slow paced Mekong experience without needing a full week away.

Aboard the RV Tonle Pandaw, you’ll drift by sampan through Ben Tre’s mangrove forests, pause at small fruit orchards, see floating fish farms near Chau Doc, and take in sweeping river views from Sam Mountain. Travelers looking for added comfort also have the option to upgrade to the Tonle Suites, offering double the space of a traditional cabin and a more private, luxury filled onboard experience.

Designed for those who still want to pack in lots of scenery in a short timeframe, this journey blends nature, culture, and the gentle pace of river life to add a standout experience to your Southeast Asia travels.

Day 1 - Saigon My Tho Port Embarkation - Ben Tre

Board your Pandaw vessel at Saigon My Tho Port and settle into your cabin. Enjoy a welcome lunch on board as we cast off towards Ben Tre. At 14:30, we step ashore for our first excursion, journeying by sampan through mangroves and bamboo forests to the area's abundant fruit orchards. This is a highly fertile farming region, with half of Vietnam's rice production originating in the Mekong Delta. It also boasts a rich artisanal culture, which we will experience at a local village specialising in handicrafts, alongside a visit to a coconut candy factory to see how this regional sweet treat is made. Back on board, relax on the deck as we sail deeper into the delta.

Day 2 - Chau Doc

Enjoy breakfast on board as we continue our journey along the waterways. At 10:30, we arrive in Chau Doc and travel by minivan for a short drive to Sam Mountain, home to Phuoc Dien Tu (the Hang Pagoda). After climbing the steps, we are rewarded with stunning views over the Mekong. For those who prefer to avoid the stairs, there is an option to explore the vibrant local market instead. Afterwards, we visit the nearby floating fish farms by sampan before being treated to a private lion dance performance at a local village. We then return to the ship to relax for the evening.Please note: During high-water periods in October and November, navigation into Chau Doc may be hampered by low bridges. On such occasions, today's excursion will be replaced with a visit to the local village of Long Thuan.

Day 3 - Border Crossing & Cruising Into Cambodia

Spend a relaxing day on board, taking in the sights and sounds of the river. We navigate a complex web of canals before dropping anchor at the Vietnam-Cambodia border to complete immigration formalities. Once cleared, we cross into Cambodia and continue our scenic cruise up the Mekong. Enjoy the passing landscapes, observe the local river life, and take advantage of the onboard hospitality as we make our way towards the capital.

Day 4 - Phnom Penh Disembarkation

After breakfast, disembark from your Pandaw vessel in Cambodia’s bustling capital, Phnom Penh, for your onward journey or post-cruise arrangements.

Finished in brass and teak, the main and upper deck rooms are very spacious at 168 square feet (15.6 sqm). Much loved by all our passengers we have ensured that with each ship we build the stateroom remains the same. Our cabins do not have mini-bars, satellite TV’s, internet or phones. Our passengers usually want to escape from the tiresome features found in international business hotels. All our cabins have the same size and signature amenities. All cabins are twin, beds can be pushed together to form doubles.
