This heady mix of islands and ports represents a fascinating itinerary combining as it does some ‘must see’ sites together with little known places that are a world away from the well-trodden tourist trail. We will explore the coastline between Kotor in Montenegro and the attractive Croatian town of Opatija, a land of stunning scenery and equally enthralling architecture, where landscapes have all the appeal of an Edward Lear painting. Set sail through the fjord-like bay of Kotor and continue on through some truly beautiful scenery which can be appreciated whilst relaxing on the sun deck. We will witness a range of scenic delights including the majestic waterfalls of Krka and the delightful islands of Korcula, Hvar and Rab, as well as visiting some quieter spots and out-of-the way beaches which the Croats themselves escape to.
In addition to our included guided excursions, we have allowed ample time at leisure and there will also be opportunities to swim from the ship as we call into secluded bays and hidden coves and, taking advantage of our central moorings, to dine ashore and experience the atmospheric ports in their evening splendour. Whether it be the towering cliffs and rich vegetation, scenic waterways and indentations or the wealth of historic buildings, this unique area has so much to offer the genuine traveller and our itinerary will be appreciated by those who enjoy an eclectic mix of places and an informal style of cruising.

Fly by scheduled flight to Tivat or Dubrovnik. On arrival transfer to the Princess Eleganza. Tonight we enjoy the welcome dinner on board as we moor overnight. (D)
After breakfast, we will first of all enjoy a walking tour of the picturesque old town of Kotor before driving south through the beautiful Montenegrin countryside where we visit a family run winery. After a short tour we will enjoy lunch and some local wines, then continue to Lake Shkoder, the youngest freshwater basin in Europe and the largest in the Balkans. Here we will take a boat trip to the village of Virpazar before returning to the ship in Kotor. Dine ashore tonight and choose from one of the many pleasant restaurants in this atmospheric setting. (B, L)
We sail this morning for Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic“, where we arrive after lunch. After a short drive to Pile Gate, we will begin our guided walk through the unique Medieval Old Town of Dubrovnik, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. See the major attractions such as the Rector’s Palace, the Romanesque- Gothic Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries and the Sponza Palace. Return to the vessel for dinner on board this evening. (B, L, D)
During breakfast we set sail for Korcula, the reputed birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. We hope to enjoy a chance to swim from the ship before arriving this afternoon when we enjoy some time to walk along Korcula’s crooked Medieval streets to the elegant squares which are flanked with palaces of the old nobility. We will be moored overnight in Korcula and you will be able to dine ashore in the Old Town this evening. (B, L)
This morning we cruise to the island of Hvar, stopping for a swim if conditions permit. We will arrive in the late afternoon in Stari Grad, where we take a short coach ride across the island to the attractive Old Town of Hvar for a guided walk. We will begin in the main square which is the largest piazza in Dalmatia and will see the cathedral, the Franciscan Monastery and the Benedictine Nunnery where we hear about the aloe lace still produced today by the nuns. Return to the ship and enjoy dinner on board. We will moor overnight in Stari Grad allowing time for an after dinner stroll in this tranquil locale. (B, L, D)
After a morning cruising we arrive in Sibenik where we visit the majestic waterfalls of Krka. We will take a guided walk on wooden walkways and across bridges through this unique fjordlike landscape with its multiple waterfalls and interesting flora and fauna. Return to Sibenik and enjoy an early evening walking tour through the historic town seeing the Cathedral of St James, the old city walls, and the theatre before taking dinner ashore. (B, L)
We continue our journey cruising through the Kornati Islands before we arrive at Sali, a traditional fishing village on the island of Dugi Otok surrounded by hills and ancient olive groves. On a walking tour of the town we will see the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a stunning wooden altar from the 17th century. We also hope to visit the nearby Telascica Nature Park, a beautiful area of islands, islets, rugged cliffs and coves which are home to many endemic plants. Return to the ship for dinner. (B, L, D)
Spend the morning cruising past numerous islands before arriving in Mali Losinj which sits at the foot of a protected harbour on the southeast coast of Losinj Island. It is the island’s mild climate and rich flora that give Mali Losinj its reputation as one of the most fragrant islands in Croatia; its air is scented with lavender, sage and rosemary. The seafront of old town Mali Losinj is lined with a string of imposing 19th century houses and villas and is a pleasant place to wander. Dine ashore this evening in one of the harbourside restaurants. (B, L)
Cruise this morning to Ilovik. Known as the island of flowers with oleander, palms and roses growing around every house and with only 170 residents, Ilovik is well off the traditional tourist route. We will stop for a wander or a swim before sailing to Rab. This afternoon we will enjoy some time at leisure and an early evening guided walk through the picturesque Old Town, a perfectly preserved late Medieval Adriatic settlement squeezed into a slender peninsula along which are dotted a sequence of Romanesque campaniles. We have the opportunity this evening to dine ashore and sample one of the many local restaurants and we will remain moored overnight in the harbour. (B, L)
Our final day on board begins after breakfast as we cruise towards Opatija. We arrive during the early afternoon for a guided walk through the town. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure before we return to the ship for the farewell dinner this evening. (B, L, D)
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Zagreb airport for our scheduled flight to London. (B)
