Antarctic Peninsula - Full Itinerary
Itinerary
Day 1: Ushuaia
Arrive in Ushuaia, Argentina and transfer to our 4-Star hotel for a night at the world’s southernmost city.
Day 2: Ushuaia
A morning free to explore the “end of the world” before joining the Polar Star in Ushuaia.
Days 3 & 4: The Drake Passage
The Polar Star crosses the Drake Passage, watch for albatross and listen to our onboard experts prepare you for your Antarctic arrival.
Day 5-7: Antarctic Peninsula
Explore the Antarctic Peninsula with continental and island landings as well as zodiac cruises to see Gentoo, Adelie and Chinstrap Penguins, watch for Crabeater, Weddell and Leopard Seals. While cruising the ice-filled waters keep a close watch for Humpback and Minke Whales. Visits are planned to Port Lockroy, Paradise Bay and Lemaire Channel along with many other landings that give you the greatest Antarctic experience possible
Day 8: South Shetland Islands
Visit the South Shetland Islands with the steaming black sands of Deception Island and huge colonies of Chinstrap and Gentoo Penguins.
Days 9 & 10: The Southern Ocean
Cruise northwards towards Ushuaia with ample opportunities to relive experiences and learn more from the expert lecture team.
Day 11: Ushuaia
Disembark in Ushuaia.
