SW Pacific Islands

Our sister company in the Heritage Travel Group - Heritage Expeditions operates these expeditions with its own Expedition Vessel the 'Spirit of Enderby'.

It would take a lifetime to visit all of the Pacific Islands. We currently offer two expeditions in the SW Pacific both of them offer the nature enthusiast unique opportunities. The "Kermadec Islands" are a remote uninhabited group (apart from a permanent scientific station) 1000km NE of New Zealand. The Kermadecs have never been joined to mainland New Zealand, making them true oceanic islands. Oceanic islands support only those species capable of crossing large stretches of open water. Above or below the water (there is opportunities for diving) these Islands are unique.
Our "SW Pacific Odyssey" is a journey from New Zealand to Japan, transiting 1000’s of kilometers of ocean and visiting numerous island groups. It is an unprecedented cruise, one that few people have ever made. It provides a unique opportunity to see and photograph a large variety of birds and cetaceans, some of which are barely known to science.
