A rare opportunity to experience wild Panda’s in their natural environment, the Qinling Mountains of China. Start in the cultural and political heart of the Chinese empire, Beijing with opportunities to absorb the culture of one the world’s great cities before heading to Xi An and a visit to the Terracotta Warriors. Then travel into the wild Qinling Mountains where nature still reigns supreme and Giant Panda roam the hills as they have done for Millennia. The Qinling Mountains form a significant geographical barrier, with a diverse array of habitats from the cool temperate northern slopes to the sub tropical southern slopes. World renowned for the diversity of species, many found nowhere else the mountains have been protected by their rugged nature and more recently the Chinese government has recognized their conservation significance. From our base at the Foping Conservation centre we will explore the surrounding valleys and mountains each day, searching for and viewing not only Panda but also Golden Takin and Golden Snub-nosed Monkey This is a rare opportunity to join our inaugural expedition to China.
