Perhaps enjoy a tour of Helsinki, including Senate Square and Mannerheimintie as well as a photo stop at the Olympic Stadium. Otherwise, explore Suomelinna, a World Heritage-listed sea fortress that occupies six small islands.

Select from two options in Riga, the Latvian capital. Perhaps wander the streets of the historic centre, where the architecture reflects styles from all periods. Visit the Gothic-style St Peter’s Church and admire the stunning views from the observation platform. Alternatively, embark on a kayaking journey through the city’s stunning network of canals.
Arrive on Gotland Island today and be greeted by the World Heritage-listed walled town of Visby. Perhaps enjoy a tour taking in the Kruttornet, a 12th-century tower, as well as the Botanical Gardens. Or head to Graute Farm to learn about life on a local sheep farm. Then sample saffron pancakes and visit the Old Town.
Founded in 1252, Klaipeda was almost destroyed during World War II. Here, perhaps set off on a sightseeing tour including the Martynas Mazvydas Sculpture Park, home to more than 180 works of art. Alternatively, discover the Plokstine nuclear missile launch site and visit the Cold War Museum.
Today visit Christianso Island and choose from three walking tours. Perhaps learn about everyday life on the island; discover the history of the island’s fortress; or embark on a nature walk. Later, arrive on Bornholm Island and traverse the lush countryside for an afternoon of gourmet delights. Taste strawberry wine at Lille Gadegaard Vineyard, visit a beautiful farm to sample some sausages and enjoy a beer tasting at a local brewery located in an old merchant’s house dating back to 1750.
Enjoy a tour in the medieval German city of Wismar, before setting out for Schwerin to visit one of Germany’s most decorative castles. Following a relaxing lake cruise, visit the grand residence of the former Dukes of Mecklenburg. Take in the lovely paintings and admire intricate wooden carvings. After lunch, enjoy free time to further explore the cobbled streets and old harbour.
Begin your transit of the Kiel Canal this morning. Finished in 1914, this 98-kilometre canal cuts through the German state of Schleswig-Holstein linking the Baltic Sea to the North Sea at Brunsbüttel to the Kiel-Holtenau. Cruising from the North Sea to the Baltic, the afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps attend a lecture on the region from your Expedition Team, or enjoy a cocktail on the Sun Deck.
Arrive in the Belgian port of Ostend for your excursion to Bruges. Enjoy a tour of this delightful canal-crossed city before returning to your vessel.
Cruise to Tilbury, where you will disembark for a day taking in the iconic highlights of London.
During a walking tour, take in Guernsey’s highlights including Castle Cornet, an ancient harbour fortress. Alternatively, visit the German Occupation Museum and see its amazing exhibits including a life-size street and bunker rooms.
Journey to the island of Mont Saint-Michel for an energetic walk up the steep path to the exquisite abbey. Continue to Cancale and visit an oyster farm for a tasting. Or perhaps discover Saint Malo’s colourful history on a tour of the old city, including a tasting of local cider and biscuits.
Travel to Locronan, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France. Traces of its Golden age are to be found in its houses built during the Renaissance period. See the 15th-century church and learn about Saint Ronan.
Travel to Bordeaux and enjoy a splendid panoramic tour, followed by a guided walk through Old Bordeaux, including the Place de la Bourse. Alternatively, head to the wine-growing region of Medoc and absorb stunning vistas along the way. Visit Chateau Lanessan estate for a wine tasting and visit its sophisticated Horse Museum.
Today you will dock in Bilbao, where you will enjoy a tour of this fascinating city. Afterwards, visit the world-famous Guggenheim Museum, taking in its unique blend of exquisite art and architecture. The Guggenheim in Bilbao focuses on postwar painting and sculpture.
Perhaps discover A Coruna’s food scene with a tour from the pier to the local markets, savouring local tapas with fine local wines. Those feeling more active might alternatively like to set off on a bicycle tour, passing by the Galleries, San Anton Castle and the Tower of Hercules.
Head to the spectacular wine country of the Douro Valley. Along the way, stop at Amarante, a small town with charming 16th-century houses. Visit a Portuguese family estate, where you’ll enjoy a wine tasting. Afterwards, be treated to a traditional lunch with the family, as you learn about their culture and daily life.

From Cadiz, enjoy a full day to explore Seville. Your tour includes the Reales Alcazares (Royal Palace), and the Christian Cathedral. Today, embark on a full-day tour to Granada, located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. See the 9th-century palace and fortress complex, Alhambra. After a tapas lunch, explore the palace of the Generalife, before re-boarding your ship in Motril.
Sail into Cartagena and explore the Roman Theatre Museum, with its exhibit items discovered in excavations around the Cathago Nova that explain the theatre’s restoration. The rest of the day is at leisure to further explore this port city.
Enjoy a trip to Albufera Natural Park, one of the most important wetlands of the Spanish peninsula. Set off to explore by ‘albufarenc’, a rustic small canoe that has been used to sail the area for generations. You might then like to embark on a birdwatching tour through the park, exploring one of Spain’s most interesting birding areas, before lunch. Alternatively, take in an authentic paella cooking demonstration and learn about the local Valencian origins of this classic dish.
