Alaska's Tracy Arm Adventure
Discover an Alaska that few others are priviledged to see let alone experience as you leave the well trodden paths and make course for another world, a world of wilderness and beauty.
Words cannot adequately describe what it feels like to stand on the crest of an age old glacier, see a whale gracefully breach above the sea's surface or watch a grizzly hunt for spawning salmon in the gushing Alaskan rivers. It is also a bustling tourist destination, with massive ships cruising there everyday so travelling aboard a small ship cruise will introduce you to a world that others never see, much less experience. You'll do more than just look at Alaska through an observation lounge; you'll be an active participant in all that it has to offer, from zodiac rides around impossibly blue ice to savouring locally caught seafood at dinner.

Alaska's Tracy Arm Adventure itinerary:
Day 1 - Sitka
Enjoy a fully-narrated “Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest” cruise in Sitka Sound. Spend time exploring Sitka’s popular attractions: totem poles at Sitka National Historical Park, Russian Bishops house, St. Michaels Catherdral, NaKaHikdi dancers and Castle Hill.
Day 2 - Eastern Baranof & Kake
Cruise the east coast of Baranof Island where you’ll spot Humpback whales and other marine wildlife in Chatham Strait. The rusted cliffs of Red Bluff Bay glow in the morning sun as you explore this exquisite wilderness of old growth rainforests, waterfalls, and pristine beaches. Upon arrival in the Village of Kake, a Tlingit elder and dancers will come on board to greet guests and provide a brief history of Kake. Visit the “World’s Largest Totem”, observing a wood carving demonstration, and visiting the Gunnuk Creek Dog Salmon Hatchery Tour & Bear Viewing Platform.
Day 3 - Petersburg
Petersburg is a fishing town established by Norwegian fishermen in the late 1800’s. At the Sons of Norway Hall, enjoy a Norwegian Folk Dance show performed by Petersburg’s children. You will have time on your own to take a short walk to Eagle Park, explore Sing Lee Alley, or shop downtown.
Day 4 - Hobart Bay
You’ll linger all day in this pristine and remote setting in the great Alaskan outdoors. Here at our exclusive basecamp we have sea kayaks you can paddle, outboard driven two-person runabouts to explore some of the inlets and beaches of Hobart Bay, and two-person ATVs to ride the old logging roads through the lush coastal rainforest. Join your Expedition Leader on nature hikes along the beach and into the forest to learn a bit about the fascinating flora and fauna. All of the activities are accompanied by our trained, friendly staff so even if you’ve never participated in these activities, you’ll be invited along for the fun. All equipment and gear is included!
Day 5 - Tracy Arm
Enter Tracy Arm early in the morning and spend the day awe-struck by the natural wonders of this narrow, twisting 30 mile-long fjord. Hundreds of waterfalls spill off high granite cliffs, harbor seals rest on ice floes, and the Twin Sawyer Glaciers regularly calve icebergs into the fjord.
Day 6 - Juneau, Orca Point Lodge
Popular Juneau attractions are the Mendenhall Glacier, Mount Roberts tram, alpine trails and exploring historic downtown Juneau. Next, we’ll depart Juneau for a short cruise to Colt Island, and go ashore for a grilled wild Alaska salmon demonstration and dinner at the Orca Point Lodge.
