The ships featured on this website range from 50 to 150 passengers and in some special instances carry as little as twelve passengers. These are vessels for the genuine traveller. Therefore, you will not find endless entertainment, round the clock buffets and the vast crowds which is what has come to be the norm on large “Cruise Ships”. Small ships offer you the opportunity to make a choice, choose to travel without the crowds, in a more intimate style (some would say traditional). Travel for what you see and experience, learn as you travel and do all this in the company of a small group of like minded travellers! Our small ships offer comfortable or even luxurious accommodation and many other amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible but above all else they are designed to take you places and give you memorable experiences.  

How important is the destination to you?

In all the developments in cruising over the past couple of decades the one thing that has been forgotten is the destination and the right itinerary. These used to be the most significant elements in a travel decision and deciding factor for many. However, the advent of the big ship has led to the downgrading of what we think is the most important part of the cruise…where you are going! This is because large ships can only dock in large ports with the supporting infrastructure necessary to service the vessel, and large numbers of passengers. For us the destination is still paramount. Small ships have the freedom of the seas and can come alongside in small docks or drop anchor in any suitable spot. After all, you do not go on holiday to be part of the all engulfing masses that descend when a number of large ships dock at the same time. Arriving at a port for the first time should be an invigorating experience and can certainly be so when the right place is chosen and your arrival is on a small ship.

All Inclusive Travel

Our small ship cruises are all inclusive, that means that what you read in the itinerary is included in price, no hidden extras, no up selling onboard and most importantly no nasty surprises when you get to the end of your cruise. On the rare occasions when there is an optional extra excursion this will be noted in the itinerary, and we will tell you the price before you leave home. Once aboard your small ship cruise the only place you have to spend more is in the gift shop and bar, and on some of our ships even house drinks are included. So while our cruises might not be the cheapest option out there, they are excellent value for money when you consider what is included in the price!

Pricing

In recent years world currencies have been fluctuating wildly and it is because of this that you will find our cruises priced in different currencies. We have chosen to give you the cruise prices in the currency that the individual ships operate, that means that you get the best price possible. Why? Because if the pricing was in your local currency then there are buffers for currency fluctuation which almost invariably mean that you pay more. Our prices are transparent, pay no more that necessary and if the exchange rates are favourable you can always pay at any time to ensure you get the best price possible. Its just another way that we can ensure that you have the best experience possible and at the best price!
